Meridian International Center is a non-profit institution dedicated to advancing international understanding through public diplomacy and global engagement. For almost 50 years Meridian has brought people together to discuss issues across nations, across generations, across economic divides. Meridian has served as a catalyst to bridge sectors and peoples and to enrich the cultural perspective of audiences across the United States and abroad.

Established in 1960 and headquartered in the Adams Morgan area of Washington, D.C., Meridian is unique in its dedicated role to non-partisan public diplomacy and offers a wide array of outreach, exchanges, and arts programs.

Meridian’s staff works with foreign governments and private professionals in designing programs in a broad range of fields to share ideas and expand their knowledge through personal contact with their U.S. counterparts while experiencing the diversity of American society and culture.
